Dog Photographer with Flowers and Camera

Hi, I'm Ashley, Your LA Area Pet Photographer!

I’m a professional pet photographer based in Redondo Beach, California, specializing in capturing the bond between pets and their people and creating artwork for them to display their beautiful pet photography portraits.

When I’m not photographing fur babies I’m working as a civil engineer where I manage wastewater treatment related projects. Working as an engineer has taught me to have a keen eye for detail, which comes in handy for my photography work. I’m a perfectionist at heart and I strive to deliver my final pet photography (and engineering) products as close to perfection as possible, down to the last teeny tiny detail!

As a lover of the great outdoors, you'll often find me snowboarding at Mammoth Mountain, conquering hiking trails, and setting up camp with my dogs under the stars. I also take joy in playing beach volleyball, water skiing, strategizing in intense board game sessions (especially Dungeons & Dragons!), and making sure to experience the magic of Disneyland at least once a year.

My Inspiration for Pet Photography

My personal fur babies are Luna, a White German Shepherd, and Arwen, a Siberian Husky Mix, both rescued by my husband and myself. Luna and Arwen have taught me so much. These two girls have pushed me to learn and continue to learn as much as I can on the subject of dogs - reading books, taking classes, studying dog body language, and figuring out how to best communicate with my girls and other dogs I have the pleasure of hanging out with.

Being a parent to two dogs of my own has motivated me to elevate my photography hobby to a professional level. The inspiration for my pet photography venture, Dog Inspired Photography, stems from Luna and Arwen, and their influence continues to fuel my passion for photography!

My Mission

I have such a strong bond and love for my girls (some people call them dogs) that my feelings for them are hard to even put into words. The pet portraits that I produce of my girls bring me so much joy. My mission is to bring that same joy to other loving pet parents!
